In The Works

Today I'm heading off to the Retirement Board to submit my application. Seems it takes 60 days for the paper work to change over payment schedules so I won't be out of the classroom until after Spring Break. I get to stay in the classroom a little longer. Retirement is being forced on me more for financial reasons than because I no longer want to teach. You know the world is crazy when you can make more money by not working than if you do.

The lady I'd talked to about replacing me has declined. She says that adding making out lesson plans and grading papers adds too much to the job for what little extra pay she'd get. I don't blame her.
